  3. Complete the required online learning and assessment before your practical session.
  4. Attend face-to-face practical training and demonstrate the required first aid and CPR skills.

The online component lets you work through the learning at your own pace. Allow enough time to finish it before attending. Our team will confirm the requirements in your booking instructions.

Practical training and assessment

You will practise first aid techniques and respond to simulated emergencies. Your trainer will explain the activities and give you the opportunity to ask questions during training.

Assessment includes knowledge questions and practical demonstrations. You need to demonstrate the required skills and knowledge to be assessed as competent. Attendance alone does not result in a Statement of Attainment.

CPR assessment includes at least two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult training manikin placed on the floor. You will also demonstrate CPR on an infant manikin and the other required practical skills.

If kneeling, getting down to the floor or performing chest compressions may be difficult for you, speak with us before booking. We can discuss your needs and explain the assessment requirements.
