Requirements and important information for all HRW Licencing:

• You must be over the age of 18 years to apply for your HRW licence.
• The HRW Licence is issued by Workplace Health & Safety Queensland and is Nationally recognised.
• You must be able to speak, read and write English and complete basic numeracy calculations. A Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment is completed when you Enrol. Where additional support may be required, this will be discussed individually with you. The results are recorded and where required, the results will be discussed individually with each student.
• There will be a 2 hour, closed book, written Theory & Calculations exam as part of your assessment. 
• The person marking your assessment is a WHSQ authorised Assessor. Please be aware that no cheating will be allowed (you will be asked to leave and your assessment results will be cancelled)
• You do need to pass the theory and calculations before you can complete the Practical assessment.

What you will need:
WHSQ currently requires three evidence-of-identity documents made up of either one Category A + two Category B, or two Category A + one Category B. Digital versions of some documents are acceptable when presented through the relevant app.

3 types of ID (click here for full list).  You must bring 3 acceptable forms of identification. Please see our full ID requirements before attending.

Required PreStudies:

• Internet connection and access to a desktop, laptop or tablet.
• You will need to set aside a few hours to complete this so, DO NOT leave it till the last day.

Printing:

• Your confirmation email will include study materials, including a set of Practice Questions that you will need to print and complete before arriving at your face-to-face training.  (if you do not have a printer, you can write the answers on a loose-leaf sheet of paper)

Footwear:

• Enclosed shoes must be worn to the face-to-face training session.

After successfully passing the  assessment, you will receive your Candidate Assessment Summary by email from WHSQ. You must then apply online to WHSQ for your High Risk Work Licence within 60 days. Once your application has been lodged, retain your Candidate Assessment Summary and proof of payment as evidence while your licence application is being processed.

• The WHSQ High Risk Work Licence application fee is currently $113.41 per licence class and is paid directly to WHSQ. The card can take up to 4 weeks to arrive). The license would need to be renewed every 5 years.

• If you do not pass your Assessment the first time then we do not charge for any additional training that you may need and there is no charge to re-book a 2nd assessment on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

  Tuesdays & Wednesday’s are the FREE 2nd try re-book days. Re-assessments required on different days may incur a $150 rebooking fee.

• There is a $150 rebooking fee applied to all cancelations & postponements made less than 24 hours before training.  This also applies to non attendance.
